Arwed lives and works in Munich since 2014, from 2016 on he is running a multidisciplinary design studio. His current design projects include candleholders, furniture, luminaires, accessoires, reusable packaging, curating and exhibition design. His comprehensive approach ranges from concept and design to product managment. The experience gained by working for renowned design studios, his active involvement in a carpenters' workshop and his studies in fashion and industrial design at the University of the Arts in Bremen have shaped the basis of his works. In 2016 one of his designs was awarded with the German Design Award in the category ”Excellent Product Design”. His works have been displayed amongst others in locations like Deutsches Technikmuseum (Berlin), Platform (Munich), Wilhelm-Wagenfeld-Haus (Bremen) and Ambiente ( Frankfurt).
